As one of the few literate men in his village of Sajjanpur, aspiring novelist Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) makes a niche for himself writing letters for money. He enjoys helping people deal with various issues, but things change when beautiful Kamla (Amrita Rao) comes to him.
